FAQ

QUESTION

ANSWER

How would you describe your style?

I photograph your wedding day as it unfolds. I focus on candid-in-the-moment shots instead of staged ones. For portraits, engagements, bridles Etc. I'll pose you only if you want me too, But for the most part I photograph the genuine connection between you both.

Do you charge for travel?

If your wedding is taking place in south Louisiana I do not charge any travel fees. Other destinations will be negotiated and handled on a case-by-case basis.

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I've been a full-time wedding photographer since may of 2015.

How many weddings do you shoot per year?

I shoot between 15-20 weddings per year give or take. This ensures I’m able to focus on every couple while still keeping a healthy work/life balance. Spring and Fall book up fast, so the sooner you inquire about your wedding date the better.

We're awkward and not photogenic. Is that OK?

Most couple tells me this. You’re not alone. I get to know everyone on a personal level because it helps put you at ease when you’re in front of the camera. It’s much different when you’re comfortable with the person who’s photographing you than some stranger with a camera!

Do you bring a second photographer?

My wife and I photograph every wedding together. Two is always better than one. This ensures that you get multiple angles and every priceless moment is captured.

Do you use backups?

Yes. I bring backup gear my philosophy is two equals one and also backup files immediately after the wedding.

Who does all your editing?

I do. Unlike some photographers, I do everything in-house. I tweak every photo one at a time to keep my signature style strong and consistent. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images from your wedding. This means that you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones or other common photography flaws.

How long does it take to get a photos and our highlight video?

For weddings, I always say 6-8 weeks. It all depends on if it’s a busy season for me. Often times, even less than that. For highlight videos 8-12 months for completion.

Do we get all the photos?

Absolutely. The only photos I don’t deliver are mid-blinking eyes, non-artistic blurry shots, or unflattering photos that I’m sure you won’t have any desire to print or have. On average, for weddings I deliver 400 – 600 photos. For portrait sessions, it’s in the 50 – 80 range. However, there’s no limit to the number of images that you’ll receive for your wedding. It all depends on how long I’m hired for and how much action is going on.

How will we and our guest get to see the photos?

You’ll get your own personal online gallery and print shop for 1 year. You can view the photos, share them, Add your own photos, download them, and order prints. It’s also mobile friendly, so you can text the link to someone and they can quickly and easily pull it up on their phone.

Can we download photos?

Absolutely. You'll be able to download all your photos in full resolution or web resolution without watermarks.

Can we print our photos?

Yes. A print release comes with each collection, so you can get prints anywhere. To guarantee prints to look their best, you can order some from the same professional lab i use straight from your gallery.

What if I lose my photos?

There is a $50 replacement charge for additional downloads after the event has been archived which will occur after 1 year. I strongly suggest you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it from me.

Can I see a full event from start to finish?

Of course. We pride ourselves on the consistency of our work. We understand all photographers post their best shots from each wedding on their websites so it’s hard to determine how well he or she will perform on the wedding day. That is why we encourage all of our potential clients to view full events from all photographers they meet with to see how well the photographer performs throughout the day.

Do you offer photo albums?

I do. I offer high quality fine art photo albums in 3 different sizes. Most couples purchase albums after the wedding to help save money during the wedding planning process.

What is required to book?

For weddings, a retainer of $500 and a signed contract reserve your wedding date. Your remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date. You can also make monthly payments if that’s easier for you.
